The Process
How Metallic Epoxy Works
Surface Prep
We diamond-grind the concrete to create a clean, profiled surface the epoxy bonds to permanently. This step is non-negotiable for a lasting result.
Base Coat
A colored epoxy base coat is applied. This is usually a dark color that creates contrast with the metallic layer — black, grey, or white are most common.
Metallic Layer
The metallic pigment coat is applied and manipulated with tools and air to create swirls, ripples, and depth effects. This is the art step — and it's different every time.
Clear Topcoat
A UV-stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat seals everything in, adds depth, and protects the metallic layer for years of durability.
