Pricing Factors

What Affects the Final Cost?

Square Footage

Larger areas cost more in total but less per square foot. Bigger jobs are more efficient to coat, so the rate drops.

Surface Condition

Heavy cracking, staining, or previous coatings require more prep work. A clean, sound slab is the least expensive to coat.

Finish System

Solid color epoxy is the most affordable. Color flake systems add a little. Metallic and 3D effects are the premium tier.

Number of Coats

Most installs include a primer coat, base coat, and topcoat. High-traffic or commercial installs may require additional layers.

Moisture Levels

High moisture vapor in a slab requires a moisture-mitigation primer. This adds cost but is essential for a lasting bond.

Access & Obstacles

Garages with built-in shelving, basements with lots of stored items, or tight spaces take longer to prep and coat.

Why We Don't Post Exact Prices Online

Every job is different. A 2-car garage with bare clean concrete costs less than a 2-car garage with heavy oil staining and hairline cracks that need filling. Posting a single number would either mislead you low or scare you high.

We come out to your property, assess the space, and give you a clear, written price before we start. No surprises on the bill. That's the DC Coatings commitment on every job.
